About Aging Alone Checklist

A growing number of people are aging without the usual safety net — no spouse, no adult children nearby, or simply a preference to plan for themselves. They're sometimes called "solo agers." The decisions they face are the same ones every family eventually deals with, but with no obvious person to step in.

This site exists to make those decisions concrete and manageable: the legal documents that name who can act for you, the health-care choices that should be written down, and the everyday support that keeps independence going. We write in plain language, say what things cost, and don't pretend a checklist replaces professional advice when you need it.
