We keep this simple. AgingAloneChecklist.com is an information website. We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't sell personal information.

Nothing non-essential runs until you allow it. When you first visit, analytics and similar cookies are switched off. We only load analytics (to understand which pages help people) after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. If you never accept, no analytics cookies are set.

What we'd collect if you accept

Standard, privacy-respecting web analytics (such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity): pages viewed, rough region, device type, and how you move through the site. We use it only to improve the content. We don't run advertising-personalization cookies.

AI chat assistant

The site offers an optional AI chat assistant. It's entirely up to you whether to use it. When you send a message, the text you type is passed to our third-party AI provider, Anthropic, which generates the reply. Your IP address is also processed to limit how often the chat can be used and to prevent abuse. Please don't enter sensitive personal, medical, or financial details in the chat — it's a general help tool, not a private or secure channel. Your chat history stays in your own browser; clearing your browser storage removes it.
